Grit Camp is an independent online guide to obstacle course racing, tailored both to beginners and to the more advanced OCR athletes. It’s run by two OCR enthusiasts: an elite racer/SGX coach V and a former beginner Helena, now moving to competitive heats.

We write and publish content because we love the sport.

Our different situations mean you’ll get a varied perspective on OCR training. We’ll help you get better at the physical (obstacles, strength, running, nutrition choices etc.) as well as the mental (resilience and perseverance training). On top of that we try to review gear picks and give you technical suggestions.

In turn, we’d love to know more about you. If you have questions don’t hesitate to use the contact form below. We are also open to article and video submissions.

Grit Camp is run by:

  • HelenaHelena

Recent recruit to obstacle racing. Currently buddying up to kettle bells to work on upper body strength with the dream of conquering monkey bars. As a former night owl who has seen the (morning) light, I also love to chat about the importance of sleep.

  • VytautasVytautas

Certified Spartan SGX and Sports Coach. OCRWC 2016 Qualifier.

We also have awesome contributors:

  • Ben O RourkeBen O Rourke

  • PlantPoweredAnnaPlantPoweredAnna

OCR-obsessed fitness instructor, certified with Beachbody, Les Mills, AFAA, and R.I.P.P.E.D. When not in the gym, can be found taking yoga selfies on the muddy trails.
